The Bairrada region has a Mediterranean/Atlantic climate, influenced by Atlantic sea breeze, and protected by mountain ranges of Caramulo and Buçaco, which means hot days and cool nights in the summer. The vines grow exposed to the sun and are planted in soft hills of clayey-limestone soils.
The ideal storage is to keep it on a cool, dark and humid place, with balanced thermal amplitudes around 12 to 14ºC and 65-70% of humidity, for the best chance for long-term survival and optimal aging of the wine.

Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc

The best known and widely prestigious white grape variety from the French Burgundy region, which today is responsible for producing some of the best white wines worldwide.

Chardonnay is a grape variety which adjusts quite well to a variety of grounds and climates and it is very versatile in terms of wine making techniques.

It produces great wines whose aromas and flavours reflect the best of its region.

It originated in the Bordeaux Region, where it is normally used to produce the white batches together with Sémillon variety.

From there it spread further north (it is the queen variety in the Loire valley) and worldwide, becoming particularly successful in New Zealand.

It features a strong personality and an intense smell and flavour (hints of lime, grapefruit, passion fruit), as well as refreshing acidity.
